“You got this”

Despite the challenges encountered by this year’s Chief Marketing Officer, Nisha Tiangratanakul, she continues to stay positive and works hard to deliver stunning graphics for the Social Diversity for Children Foundation. Made to honour individuals who are essential to our community, Nisha exemplifies our  strive for excellence and impactful contributions. Her biggest achievements branch from the branding and marketing of SDC itself, through detailed graphics to promote our programs.

Nisha was born in Bangkok, Thailand and immigrated to Canada when she was five. She grew up in Vancouver and currently attends Eric Hamber Secondary School. Nisha is passionate about creation, whether it is art, photography, ceramics, baking or many more. She expresses her culture and social justice knowledge through her unique products. Her biggest goal is to create an inclusive world, where people are not judged for their differences.

Nisha has been with the Social Diversity for Children Foundation for three years now. She started out as a Marketing Associate and then took on the role of Chief Marketing Officer for the Youth Team for two years now. Her fondest memory of SDC is from our Once Upon a Shine Gala, where despite being busy running around documenting the special night, she still felt amazed and inspired seeing the event and total donation count we raised together. Rejoicing and celebrating with her fellow youth team members was a feeling that Nisha says she will never forget.

Furthermore, Nisha is a crucial member of SDC, as she provides clear visions for our projects. In particular, for SDC’s fall programs, she recognized that as they grow and change to further suit children, the programs need much more flexibility. Thus, she created a schedule in which she can not only accommodate children with great volunteers, but also a great plan for marketing!

Nisha truly feels proud of her accomplishments and her personal growth in these years. She has gained much more confidence in herself through taking a great leadership role while working with the Youth Team. She also believes that SDC has helped her to gain a diverse, unique experience and knowledge that she would not have otherwise found. We are excited to see what she will accomplish in her future journey and all that will come in 2022!
